Overview
The Permissions log is a powerful feature designed for administrators to monitor and track changes to permissions. It is especially critical for audits, M&A activities, fundraising, and other enterprise use cases where maintaining a detailed record of permission changes is essential.

With the Permissions log, administrators can:
Track permission changes by:
Groups
Folders
Files
Identify who made the changes.
See which folders/files were affected.
Monitor how permissions evolved over time.
Availability
Access: Available to Administrators.
Mobile Access: Fully functional on mobile browsers and apps, matching desktop capabilities.
Accessing the Permissions log
To access the Permissions log:
Navigate to Reports > Permissions Log in the interface.
The default report will display with the following parameters:
Period: All time
Target group: All groups
Author: All authors
Files and folders: Entire project
Filters in the Permissions log
The Permissions log provides several filters to customize the displayed data:
1. Period Filter
Allows selection of a time frame for displayed data:
Options:
Single day
Past week
Past month
Custom range (start and end date)
2. Target Group Filter
Filter by groups organized by:
Administrator groups
User groups
Custom groups
You can select all groups of a type or individual groups. Deleted and deactivated groups are also selectable.
3. Author filter
Filter by authors of permission changes:
Options include individual users or entire groups.
Supports selecting deactivated and deleted users/groups.
4. Files and folders panel
Customize the view to focus on specific files or folders. By default, the entire project structure is displayed:
Click on folder/file names to view detailed permission change data.
Note: Selecting a folder only displays information for that folder, not its subfolders or files.
Data columns in the Permissions log
The report includes the following data columns:
Date and Time: Displays when the permission change occurred (viewer’s time zone).
Author: Full name and email of the user who made the change.
Target Group: The affected group.
Permission: The assigned permission.
Description: Additional context about the permission setup, such as inheritance or explicit assignment.
You can select the columns in the column picker on the right-hand side of table header:
Exporting the Permissions log
Export options allow you to download or share the report. The report will be an XLSX File. Click Export > Download Report.
To send as an email Attachment: Click Export > Email Report
Key information of Export:
Your export reflects the currently applied filters.
Includes file/folder-specific information.

Just like other reports, you can subscribe to the Permissions log to receive regular updates.
