How to limit the number of questions asked by the specific question team; available settings and how it works

Updated over a week ago

Project management is a challenging and time-consuming task. Regarding the Q&A communication, the question limit functionality helps ensure that all Q&A participants receive a timely response. At the same time, project managers are not overwhelmed with the number of questions.

The question limit can be set up during the question team creation and edited at any time in the Q&A settings.

In the Question limits tab, you can overview the current settings for all question teams and adjust them as required. To change a question limit:

  • Select a time span from the dropdown values:

    • Per 24 hours

    • Per week

    • Per month

    • All time

  • Enter the number of questions, either total or specified for each priority.

  • Optionally, enable the setting to Deny questions on the selected days.

Upon applying the question limit, the count starts when the first question is submitted by the question side. Only new submitted questions are counted in the limit. Drafted and follow-up questions are not included in the limit count.

For example, you set a limit of 50 questions per week. As soon as the limit is reached, the question team will need to wait until the new 7 days span starts to be able to ask new questions. In the meantime, users can still propose question drafts and ask follow-up questions to the previously submitted questions.

⚠️ Submitted questions will still be counted regardless of whether the author is deleted, moved to a different question team, the author's Q&A role is changed, or the question itself is deleted.
