Learn how to apply your own terms of use, NDA, disclaimer, or confidentiality agreement for users entering the project

You may prompt your users to accept your company's terms of use before proceeding to the data room.

To apply custom Terms of use, click Settings in the left panel and select Project.

Here you will find the Terms of use tab, where you can create new terms of use.

This brings you to a new page where you can create and edit your new terms of use.

Title of Terms of use

From the drop-down, select the appropriate option for your new terms of use.

Administrators have the following title options available to use?:

  • NDA

  • Terms and conditions of access

  • Confidentiality agreement

  • Disclaimer

  • Custom title

Display terms of use

Here you can decide whether the users should accept the terms "On first sign-in" or "On each sign-in":

  • On first sign-in: the users will accept the terms before signing in to the project for the first time.

  • On each sign-in: the users will accept the terms prior to each sign-in to the project.

💡 In case you select the option "On first sign-in", the users will be offered to accept the terms of use each time its text is updated by the administrator.

Assigned groups

Here you can assign specific terms to specific groups as you require. Click the drop-down and select the groups required.

💡 Each group can have only one active agreement at one time.

Editing terms content

To edit the text, you may use the editor provided. All formatting options are available.

Tags for terms

Tags are a quick and easy way to customize your terms of use for your project. When editing the terms, press “/” to see a dropdown list of helpful tags.

The list of tags is as follows:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Full name

  • Company

  • Email

  • User group

  • Date

These values will be replaced with the relevant information for each participant upon signing in to the project.

The editor is a quick and easy-to-use word processor that allows admins to effortlessly amend terms as they see fit.

💡 Participants will need to accept the terms after each time the administrator updates its text.

Reports and Terms of use

Project administrators can track which text was applied and when in Reports by reviewing the Activity log.

You will find the relevant information under Action and Description columns. This allows administrators to track who accepted the terms and includes its publication date.
