Watermarks configuration

Customize the watermark's appearance, select the information to be displayed, and add custom text

Updated over a week ago

Watermarks are enabled by default in all newly created data rooms when viewing documents online, printing, and downloading PDF or encrypted files.

To adjust watermarks settings, click the settings menu in the top-right corner and select Watermarks.

In the editing mode, you can adjust the following settings:

  • Actions with documents when the watermark should be displayed. We recommend keeping all options applied to ensure the additional security of your documents.

  • User details which should be included in the watermark when they access documents. You can also add any custom text in addition or instead of default options.

  • The appearance of the watermark: color, opacity, and position.

On the right side, you can also preview how your watermark will look with the selected settings.

Keep in mind that the time on the watermarks is displayed according to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) regardless of the user's time zone set in their personal settings. This is done for security reasons and ease of tracking who and when viewed, printed, or downloaded the document, especially if their time zone changes and/or differs from the administrator's time zone.
