User groups are divided into two types: Administrators and Users with two roles within each type. These roles define the level of access to data room functionality.
Full administrators
Users with this role have full administrative rights and can:
Adjust the data room settings.
Access and manage all the documents and permissions to them.
View, invite, and manage all users of the data room.
Set up the Q&A section and provide relevant access for users.
View all available reports in the data room.
Restricted administrators
By default, users with this role can:
View permitted documents.
View the users in their group.
View the users of groups they administer.
Post group notes to files and folders.
Can be optionally authorized to:
Invite and manage users in their own group and the groups they administer.
View and manage permissions of the user groups they administer (except their own group).
⚠️ If a restricted administrator is authorized to manage permissions, they will see complete documents structure in permissions settings despite their permitted documents.
Access the activity reports of their own and the user groups they administer.
Collaboration users
Users with this role can:
View permitted documents.
See all the users within their group.
Post group notes to files and folders.
May be optionally authorized to:
See the users of the groups they are collaborating with.
View the activity of their own or selected groups (in the reports).
Individual users
Users with this role are not able to see other users of the data room. Their level of access includes:
Viewing permitted documents.
Creating private notes to files and folders.
Viewing personal activity reports.
