To start using the platform, each user should register first. One email and password are used to access all the projects you own or participate in as an invited user.
To register with Ideals, follow the link from an invitation email.
Create your account
To create an account, the first step is to fill in your personal information, create a password, and accept Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
The required fields include:
Full name (first and last name only, no initials)
Company
Password
Confirm password
Accept terms
💡 If some of these fields aren't present, don't worry. It means that the admin who invited you has filled out your name fully or the system has been able to read your company from your email. So there's no need to enter them again.
To create a password, make sure you meet all requirements to create a strong password:
8 symbols minimum
1 uppercase letter (A to Z)
1 lowercase letter (a to z)
1 digit (0 to 9) or special character ~`!@#$%^&*()_+-={}[]|:";'<>?,./
Then tick the checkbox to accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to proceed with registration.
💡 You can review and update your details at any time in Personal info. You can change your password at any time in the Security settings of your account.
Enable 2-step verification
Optionally, strengthen the security of your account with the most convenient verification method.
💡 This can be configured by the project administrator. In such cases, there will be no option to skip.
Authenticator app
Set up verification with the authenticator application in 3 quick steps:
Download and install the authenticator app if you don't have it yet.
Open the app and scan the QR code from the screen.
Enter a one-time code generated by your authenticator app.
💡 Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy are the most commonly used apps, but you can use any other at your preference.
Code by text message
Another verification option is via a one-time SMS code sent to your phone.
Enter your mobile phone number.
Confirm your phone number by entering a 6-digit code from SMS.
💡 You can set up or change the verification methods at any time in the Security settings of your account.
Recovery codes
If you enable 2-step verification, the last step will be to save your recovery codes.
They can be used as an alternative verification method if you're unable to verify your identity with the previously set-up methods.
💡 It is best practice that participants save their recovery codes somewhere safe for when they need them.
💡 You can view and generate new codes in the Security settings of your account.
