Activating AI search
Administrators can manage AI search availability in the AI tools section of the Project settings. It can be enabled or disabled for the entire project as well as for specific user groups.

To enable the AI search feature, open any document in the PDF viewer, and click the AI search icon.
💡 AI search is available with Premier and Enterprise subscriptions only.
Accessing the AI search
ℹ️ AI search is available in the PDF viewer only.
Open a document in the PDF viewer.
Click the AI search icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Using the AI search
Upon clicking the icon, the AI search panel will appear on the right side of the viewer.
ℹ️ You can switch to the regular search by clicking the magnifying glass icon.
Type your question in the search box at the bottom of the panel.
Allow a few seconds for the chatbot to generate results.
💡 If you have already performed an AI search on a document, the chat section will display the conversation history, grouped by dates.
Getting responses
AI search works similarly to a messaging app. Once you enter your question in the text input area and press Enter, your message bubble will appear on the right side of the panel, and the responses will be on the left, marked with an AI search icon.
Document summary
Document summarization is a quick way to understand the content of a file without opening it. It helps you grasp what a document is about — making it easier to review and organize documents within your project.
You can get a quick document summary directly in the viewer by clicking the respective button below the text input area.
You can also get document summary directly from the Documents list.
In the Documents tab, right-click any file and select Get summary from the context menu.
A pop-up window will appear displaying a short summary of the document.
You can regenerate the summary up to four times if you want a new version.
You can like or dislike the result and copy the text (if your permissions allow).
The summary is unique for each user and stored as part of their AI search history.
Interacting with responses
Upon receiving answers or quick action outputs, you can interact with the results in several ways:
Vote on the answer’s validity by clicking the Like or Dislike buttons (your feedback will be stored for quality assessment purposes.)
Copy the text in the answer bubble to the clipboard.
Generate another response (up to four times.)
Quickly navigate to the page(s) that helped generate a response by clicking the page number at the bottom of the answer bubble.
ℹ️ AI search is not available in Beijing storage location.
