Learn how to find and use the Quick access panel

The Quick access panel is a convenient tool that allows you to quickly find and manage important documents within your repository. This panel includes quick filters and other tools to help you prioritize and locate files efficiently.

Features

  • Recents: Access recently opened documents.

  • Favorites: Quickly find your favorite files and folders.

  • Uploads: See most recent uploads.

  • Notes: View notes for easy reference.

  • Shared: Access files shared externally.

Additionally, at the bottom of the Quick Access panel, you will find:

  • A Folder tree: View and navigate through the document hierarchy.

  • A Q&A attachments folder: Access all attachments related to Q&A.

How to navigate to the Quick access panel

  1. Go to the Documents tab
    Navigate to the Documents tab to access the Quick Access panel.

  2. Quick Access panel location
    The Quick Access panel is located on the left-hand side of the screen.

  3. Expand/Collapse the Panel
    If the panel is hidden, click the Expand all button to display it. You can also click Collapse all to hide it.

  4. Show or Hide Quick Filters
    You can collapse or expand the Quick Access panel vertically by clicking the Collapse quick filters or Expand quick filters icons.

Quick access items

1. Quick filters

  • Recents: Displays documents you've recently opened.

  • Favorites: Shows items you've added to your favorites.
    To add an item to your favorites:

    • Hover over the item and click the star icon.​

    • Right-click the item or click the ••• icon and select Add to favorites.

    To remove an item from your favorites:

    • Hover over the item and click the star icon again.​

    • Right-click the item or click the ••• icon and select Remove from favorites.

  • Uploads: Displays items that have been uploaded in the last 30 days.

  • Notes: Displays notes that are available to you.

    Shared: Displays links to files shared externally (available only to administrators).

2. Folder tree

  • Folder tree: Displays the complete folder structure.

    • Click the arrow next to a folder to expand it.

    • Click the folder name to view its contents on the right-hand side.

    • Right-click the folder name to access its context menu.

  • Q&A attachments: Access all Q&A attachments available to you.
