How to edit the rejected answer and who can do it

Updated over 6 months ago

In case the answer is rejected by the Answer approver, it is automatically routed back to the Answer coordinator for review. The question status is changed to Answer rejected.

Answer coordinators can edit the answer themselves and re-submit for approval or assign the question to experts to propose an updated answer.

To edit the rejected answer:

  • Open the question thread in the Answer rejected status.

  • Click Edit rejected answer.

  • Enter your new answer in the appeared field.

  • Click Edit and submit for approval.

Below the proposed answer field, you may use the option Add this text to answer. In this case, the previously submitted answer will be copied and available for further editing before submission.

If the Expert role is enabled, the answer coordinator can assign the question back to the experts. Learn more about assigning questions to experts. In this case, the question status will be changed to the Question assigned.

To change the previously provided answer, the expert should:

  • Open the question thread in the Question assigned status.

  • Click Edit proposed answer.

  • Adjust the answer in the corresponding field.

  • Click Save.

Once the expert proposes an updated answer, the answer coordinator will receive it for review and re-submission for approval.
