The following Q&A roles are available on the answer side: Answer coordinator, Expert, and Answer approver.
Answer coordinator
When a new question is submitted, the answer coordinator has the following buttons:
Answer: to provide an answer to the question by themselves.
Send answer for approval: when Answer Approver role is enabled.
Assign experts: assign the question to the expert to propose their answer (available if the Expert role is enabled and no experts are assigned to the question).
Internal note: leave a note for answer coordinators or assigned experts to collaborate internally and collect required information and documents.
If an expert proposes their answer, then the answer coordinator can review and use it for submission right away by clicking the Submit button.
Alternatively, a coordinator can click Copy to edit to adjust the proposed answer before submission. Upon clicking, the editor field will appear, and the original answer will be saved in the Activity section after submission.
Expert
Upon receiving an assigned question, experts can propose their answer which will be sent to the answer coordinators for review and submission. Experts have the buttons Answer and Comment, similar to the answer coordinator.
Answer approver
Submitted answers are routed to the answer approver. There are four available buttons:
Approve: the answer will be immediately submitted to the question side.
Copy to edit: the proposed answer will be copied to the editor where the Answer approver can modify it before approval. The original proposed answer by the Expert or Answer coordinator will be saved in the Activity section for future reference.
Reject: the answer will be routed back to the answer coordinator with the reason for rejection.
Type your own answer in the editor field and submit it to the question side.
💡 Answer approver role is available with Premier and Enterprise subscription.
