Available answer options depending on the Q&A role

Updated over 6 months ago

The following Q&A roles are available on the answer side: Answer coordinator, Expert, and Answer approver.

Answer coordinator

When a new question is submitted, the answer coordinator has the following buttons:

  • Answer: to provide an answer to the question by themselves.

  • Assign expert: assign the question to the expert to propose their answer (available if the Expert role is enabled and no experts are assigned to the question).

  • Comment: leave a comment for answer coordinators or assigned experts to collaborate internally and collect required information and documents.

If an expert proposes their answer, then the answer coordinator can review and use it for submission by clicking the button Submit this answer. Upon clicking, the editor field will appear, and the answer coordinator can adjust the proposed answer if needed.

Expert

Upon receiving an assigned question, experts can propose their answer which will be sent to the answer coordinators for review and submission. Experts have the buttons Answer and Comment, similar to the answer coordinator.

Answer approver

Submitted answers are routed to the answer approver. There are two available buttons:

  • Approve: the answer will be immediately submitted to the question side.

  • Reject: the answer will be routed back to the answer coordinator with the reason for rejection.

Answer approvers cannot answer the questions themselves but can edit the provided answer or add comments when they approve or reject the answer.

💡 Answer approver role is available with the Enterprise subscription only.
