Reopening project

How to reopen the project, who can request an activation, and how long it takes

Updated over a week ago

After project closure, no one can access it, including project administrators.

Reactivation policy

To reactivate the project, a registered project administrator should contact the Customer Support Team or dedicated account manager. Usually, the request is processed right away and takes no more than 15–30 min.

However, keep in mind that to reopen a project, one of the following conditions must be met:

  • You have an active subscription, meaning your corporate account is currently active.

  • Your corporate account is closed, but your subscription term has not yet expired, and the data retention period is still in effect.

💡 If you need access to a project solely for reviewing or downloading its contents, use our convenient archiving options available on the Archives page. From here, click Create offline backup and select the option that best meets your needs:

Upon reopening:

  • All project settings remain unchanged, and all invited participants will regain access to the documents they had access to before closure.

  • No additional notifications are sent out to the project participants about reactivation. If the project administrators would like to notify participants additionally, they may resend invitations, send notifications about specific documents, or raise a question in the Q&A section.

Data retention policy

Project data is stored on our servers according to the applicable retention period and can be erased earlier if the project administrator submits a request via email.

  • For clients whose agreements begin on or after July 1, 2025:
Project documents will be retained for 90 days following corporate account closure.

  • For clients whose agreements began before July 1, 2025:
Project documents will be retained for 3 years following corporate account closure, unless an earlier deletion is requested.

An account is automatically closed when there are no active projects and the subscription term has ended.
